How to apply online for RRB JE exam?

RRB JE exam basically stands for Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer, which is conducted by the central government for filling technical positions in Indian Railways. Any aspirant who is preparing for government exams this year, particularly from science or engineering background knows the importance of RRB JE exam 2022 as lakhs of students prepare for it for few vacancies. 

The notification for RRB JE 2022 exam will be released soon on the official website of RRB JE apply online and all the interested candidates need to register themselves on the RRB JE website in the given time frame. For RRB JE 2022, the number of vacancies is expected to be close to 3000.The application fee for RRB JE is generally INR 500/- for general category students & INR 250/- for other category students. The candidate must check eligibility criteria and number of posts zone wise before starting the application process for RRB JE exam 2022. 

 RRB JE apply online – procedure

One can easily complete the registration process for RRB JE exam 2022 and other formalities following below mentioned steps-

• First of all, visit the official website of RRB JE.
• And click on the notification where it is written ‘RRB JE Apply online’.
• Post that the candidate will be directed to a page where he/she will see the list of 21 RRBs (Railway Recruitment Board) as mentioned below, and click on any one of the cities as per your choice and qualification for RRB JE 2022(download annexure for more clarity), you will land on the registration page.

• Registration page contains personal details such as Name, Phone Number, Address, and Email ID which must be entered carefully.
• Post that, login credentials will be sent on mail Id and mobile number which has been provided at the time of registration for RRB JE exam.
• Now, candidates need to login on the RRB JE website and start filling the RRB JE form by clicking on the already registered tab on the home page.
• Login using the registration number received on mail and fill all other mandatory details as required for RRB JE 2022.
• Choose the posts as per your preference & preparation, and all other required details should be filled carefully on RRB JE website.
• Upload all the asked documents in required format, particularly signature & passport photo and confirm the declaration on RRB JE website.
• Post that the candidate needs to complete the payment process using debit/credit card or through net banking.
• After checking the declaration, click on submit button for final submission.
• One must note that after final submission, the candidate won’t be allowed to make any changes in the application form for RRB group, email address, mobile number.
• For other details, 2 modifications are allowed on the payment of INR 250/- per modification.
• Mandatory documents required for RRB JE 2022 while applying online –

1. Valid Email address
2. Valid Phone Number
3. Aadhar Card or Pan Card – JPEG format, size not exceeding 500KB
4. 10th, 12th, and graduation marksheets
5. Passport size photograph- JPEG format, size not exceeding 240KB
6. Signature – JPEG format, size not exceeding 240KB

The age limit for RRB JE 2022 exam is between 18-33 years (age relaxation as per government norms) for filling of posts such as Junior Engineer (IT), Junior Engineer (JE), Chemical Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), etc. and the candidates in their final year of degree/diploma are not eligible to apply for RRB JE exam. There is provision for age relaxation for reserved category candidates. The educational qualifications required for RRB JE exam are-

RRB JE 2022 will be a CBT or Computer Based Test with a test duration of 90 minutes consisting of multiple choice questions. The RRB JE exam is generally conducted in three stages CBT-1, CBT-2, document verification & medical examination. Even after clearing two rounds of RRB JE exam, it happens that few students are eliminated because of their medical fitness when the final result of RRB JE is published.

The CBT-1 of RRB JE exam generally consists of 100 questions which needs to be attempted in 90 minutes. Each correct answer carries one mark and -1/3 for every wrong answer. Questions will be from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Science, General Intelligence & Reasoning.

The CBT-2 of RRB JE exam generally consists of 150 questions which needs to be attempted in 120 minutes. Each correct answer carries one mark and -1/3 for every wrong answer. Questions will be from General Awareness, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Application Basics, Environment & Pollution (Basics), Technical Ability.

The candidate must note that he must clear the overall cut-off for RRB JE exam released by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for passing the examination.
